DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1
Costa Rica is full of wildlife, sure to make the kids’ trip.
Overnight: Hilton Garden Inn (2 Standard Rooms DBL)
Arrival in Liberia
Arrival at the airport in Liberia. After passing through immigration you will be met by a member of the National Chamber of Tourism (CANATUR) who will give you a sticker that will facilitate you clearing customs. As you exit meet your shuttle to your airport hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2
Meander the beautiful paths to the beaches of Nosara.

Transfer: Liberia-Nosara, appx 2 hours
Drive Liberia to Nosara
This morning a representative will bring you a 4X4 vehicle for up to 7 people equipped with GPS. After finalizing your paperwork, make your way to your lovely accommodations in Nosara. Enjoy the rest of the day on your own.
Includes daily mandatory collision and liability insurance. There is a mandatory $750 to $1,000 deductible damage deposit that must be put onto a valid credit card at time of rental. Deposit will be released upon returning the rental car.
DAY 3
Kayak through the pristine mangroves.

Mangrove Kayaking Tour
The Rio Nosara and the Rio Montana are the two largest rivers in Nosara, and where they converge you will find a tremendous amount of natural beauty. For nature lovers and those who like to kayak, this is quite simply the best tour in Nosara. Explore the wildlife rich Rio Nosara through the eyes of our birding expert and lead kayak guide. Kayak alongside great blue herons, anhingas, roseate spoonbills, and maybe even a few crocodiles. Then weave through mangrove tunnels just as wide as your boat, enjoying the exquisite sounds of the jungle. Cap it off with an ice-cold watermelon or sunset cerveza at the Boca. Enjoy the rest of the day on your own.

Explore the vast beaches and jungles of Nosara.

Day 5
Wildlife abounds on our nature walk.

Waterfall and Wildlife Guided Hike
Experience one of Nosara’s hidden gems; this tucked away waterfall destination is a refreshing treat following a 45 minute moderate hike. The hike involves crossing a creek a half dozen times, traversing a cattle farm, and weaving through a primary canopy of tropical dry forest. Stop along the way to interpret the sights, sounds and smells of everything around you before discovering a series of brilliant swimming holes and small waterfalls, each cascading from one to another. Bask in the cool water and natural beauty of the site until you’re sufficiently refreshed. Depending on the time of year, it’s even possible to hike upriver through the waterfalls. Returning from the falls you’ll be greeted with an organic picnic lunch and refreshments.
Day 6
Soak in the picturesque sunsets each night.

Horseback Riding Tour
We’ll start at the river and meander up to the hills with breathtaking views of the ocean, beaches and mangroves, through jungle trails and along the beaches of Nosara. Not only will you enjoy the ride, but your guide will tell you all about the plants and animals you will encounter during the tour. Most likely you will meet a family of howler monkeys, observe a large variety of birds, learn about the local trees and plants and the medicinal use which is made of them. The horses are trained and educated by an experienced trainer - reliable, friendly horses, which give beginners as well as advanced riders a real pleasurable ride!

Transfer to/Depart Liberia
After breakfast drive on your own from Nosara to the International Airport in Liberia, approximately 2 hours. Drop off your car at the rental car office and check in at the airport 3 hours prior to your scheduled flight time.
ACCOMMODATIONS
Hilton Garden Inn situated in front of Daniel Oduber International Airport (LIR) which serves the province of Guanacaste. Hilton Garden Inn Liberia Airport is a great place to start and finish your Costa Rica vacation. The hotel is close to many top tourist attractions, such as the Guanacaste beaches, Arenal Volcano, Rincon de la Vieja hot springs, Monteverde National Park, and many Costa Rica adventure activities including zip-lining and whitewater rafting. Unwind in a spacious guest room or suite and enjoy comfortable and smart amenities.
Nosara House Options:
This is a large 4-Bedroom two-story house, adjacent to the Wildlife Refuge and to Olas Verdes Hotel.
First level: shaded parking for one car and parking space for another one, dining room (seats 8), a full kitchen with a counter (seats five), one bedroom with a king size bed and bathroom, a large terrace for about 10 adults, a half-bathroom, laundry room, wi-fi and a large swimming pool.
Second level: three bedrooms with a/c, including the master bedroom with king size bed and walk-in closet; a large bedroom with 2 single beds, walk-in closet and balcony; and the kids’ bedroom with two bunk beds, a single bed and balcony.
All bedrooms have private bathroom. To access the beach, just walk a few meters to take the Olas Verdes Hotel jungle path to the beach or use the public beach access about 400 yards away. Cleaning is done weekly, but extra cleaning is available for a fee.
This house has four bedrooms with a/c (one is attached to the house and has a separate entrance, with one queen bed and private bathroom), it has a large dining room (seats 10), a full kitchen with a counter (to seat four), a small terrace, powerful ceiling fans in all public areas, a swimming pool, a juice bar near the pool with an additional terrace/shaded area with seats and two hammocks, parking area for 2 cars. Wi-fi (for all bedrooms and dining area) and cable TV (in the dining room). To access the beach, just walk across Olas Verdes Hotel and use the hotel’s jungle path to the beach, or you can use the public beach access, which is about 350 yards away. Cleaning is done weekly, but extra cleaning is available for a fee.
