Why do we charge a deposit?
Custom retreats involve significant planning, vendor coordination, itinerary development, and support before bookings begin. The deposit ensures dedicated planning time while keeping incentives aligned for a successful launch.
Once your retreat reaches the minimum number of booked travelers and the trip runs successfully, your deposit will be fully credited back.
Level I: Independent Facilitator
This level is designed for facilitators who are ready to lead their own retreats but need a little back-end support to stay protected and aligned. You’ll run your retreat independently while staying under the Root Adventures insurance umbrella and receiving light logistical guidance as needed.

Backend logistical support (e.g. permits, vendor questions)
Answers to facilitator-specific questions
Not listed on our website
No marketing or client-facing services
Best for facilitators who want to keep control of their retreat and marketing while benefiting from Root’s infrastructure.

This is a true collaboration. While you lead the retreat, we’ll take care of the administrative load—handling bookings, payments, and client support. You’ll be featured on our website and gain access to shared marketing resources and Root-branded gear to elevate your presence.

We handle all client bookings and payments
Root provides client communications and support
$500 in shared marketing/advertising spend
Your retreat is listed on the Root Adventures website
You receive branded Root Adventures gear
Ideal for facilitators who want to stay client-focused while we handle the back-end work and help spread the word.

You’ll co-create a signature experience with Root Adventures, complete with a dedicated Root tour leader, co-branded materials, and high-level promotional support. We’re with you every step of the way—from dreaming up the vision to welcoming your guests.
What’s included (in addition to Levels 1 & 2):
A Root Adventures tour leader joins your retreat
You get the full Root experience (logistics, support, cultural immersion)
Custom co-branded gear, including a hand-drawn design
Listed as an official Root Adventures trip
$2,000 in dedicated advertising and marketing spend
